Wetherby Petanque Club - a member of Northern Petanque

The terrain is always available although membership of the Sports Association and the Petanque club are required for regular visitors.
Membership of the Sports Association is £8 p.a. in 2007/8 (£12 for a family membership) and membership of the club is £10 p.a. for adults or £2 p.a for juniors.

There is a club session on Tuesdays throughout the year starting at 1.00 pm.
Club sessions on evenings in the summer or at the weekend will be held if there is sufficient interest.
Many club players play in tournaments on Sunday many of which are open to all players including novices.

The club also fields 2 teams of 6 in the York & District league which is played on Thursday evenings from the end of April to the end of August.

Competition is a strong feature for many members but players of all standards (including complete beginners) are welcome at club sessions.
Leisure boules are available to use and several club members have spare competition boules which beginners are welcome to use.
